Hospitalization this weekend
My last 2 post were about her not having her medication. She tried really hard to not have complete meltdowns and did well. She still had her moments though. Last Wednesday she got home from school and was irritable and just got worse. She kept getting into it with me and her sister off and on all afternoon. Around 6:30 she walked out of her sisters room and went into her closet and wrapped a belt around her neck and was trying to get it over the bar in the closet when I walked in and found her. We got her to the hospital and later that evening came home as she was not suicidal anymore. Thursday afternoon she was hospitalized for suicide attempt. I honestlly thought that was behind us. She had been doing well with everything but I was wrong. Looks like I am always going to have to be on the lookout for that. Hopefully she can come home early next week.

I'm so sorry this happened but glad that you were there to get her good care. This is a terrible reminder that meds are nothing to play around with. Shame on our society for not helping people get the care they need and shame on anyone who does not care about living, breathing people.

I am so sorry! There is nothing worse for a mom to have to go through! I am grateful she didn't succeed. Do you have a NAMI in your area? Take their Family to Family classes they are free and a great support.
